Maritess M. Quinto is a Catholic Woman, a wife, a mother of five, an entrepreneur, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice with over 20 years of healthcare experience.
Dr. Quinto is a board certified Medical-Surgical Nurse (CMSRN), board certified Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPD-BC), an inaugural Fellow in Nursing Economics (FINE), and is completing her Faith Community Nursing training by Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing.
Dr. Quinto is deeply passionate about healthcare policy change and nursing advocacy. She focuses on enhancing patient care and improving quality care outcomes by advocating for service excellence and helps healthcare colleagues in achieving their personal and professional development goals by cultivating their professional identities.
Dr. Quinto began her nursing career as a Medical-Surgical Nurse and has since held various positions, including a charge nurse, a clinical educator, a nursing faculty member, a clinical instructor, and a nursing director. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baguio Central University in the Philippines, followed by a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus on Healthcare System Leadership, both from Chamberlain University in Illinois, USA.
Dr. Quinto is an active volunteer in the healthcare community and served as a member of the board of several national and international healthcare and academic organizations for many years.
Among her many recognitions, Dr. Quinto was a DAISY Nominee, has received the 2024 President’s Award from the Florida Nurses Association, inauguaral graduate of HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement’s Leadership Development Institute and in March 2025, she was accepted into the inaugural Fellowship In Nursing Economics (FINE) by the Commission of Nursing Reimbursement.
Dr. Quinto upholds the belief that healthcare—particularly the practice of nursing—is a profound vocation that demands disciplined self-leadership and unwavering excellence in order to serve, elevate, and advocate for others.
